Situated about 20 miles outside of the heart of Los Angeles, Pacific Palisades is a peaceful and luxurious oasis. Known as one of the more private communities in the Los Angeles area, this area is home to professional athletes, politicians, and other affluent individuals seeking seclusion and a tight-knit circle. 
 
Pacific Palisades was founded in 1921 by a Methodist group and later became a refuge for Jewish creatives and intellectuals fleeing the Holocaust. Its secluded location and small-town feel have historically made it an ideal place for residents to live a low-key life. With a beautiful climate, an abundance of green space, and natural surroundings, Pacific Palisades feels worlds away from the hustle of major nearby cities.

With a sophisticated dining room and a cool atmosphere, this is a fantastic spot for a fun group lunch or chill date night! Be sure to try any of their A5 wagyu steaks, the crispy rice with spicy tuna and truffle sauce, or their specialty fried chicken with wasabi honey.
 
Pacific Palisades has no shortage of shopping options for residents to explore. The downtown Palisades Village area has a wide array of popular retailers mixed with smaller boutiques. From athleisure favorites like Alo Yoga and Carbon38 to stores with timeless pieces like Vince and Zimmerman, the shopping options here offer brands for every taste. With lovely local bakeries, coffee shops, and eateries only a short walk away from these shops, this is a great spot to explore during a day out with friends!

Health and wellness is at the heart of most residents’ who live here, and the Pacific Palisades has lots of outdoor venues for locals to take advantage of and explore. Will Rogers State Beach is one of these places. Ideal for laying out, swimming, and enjoying beach-day activities with friends or family, this is a must-see spot. The beach offers stunning Pacific views and is typically quieter than other nearby beaches, which makes it a low-key spot for visitors to relax. 
 

Schools

Pacific Palisades has no shortage of phenomenal educational institutions for students and their parents to check out when looking for the perfect school. With some of the state’s highest-ranking public schools, this is a fantastic district for parents and their children to be a part of. Larchmont Charter School, WISH Community School and Palisades Charter Elementary closeby and are all strong options to consider.
